We use only the cookies needed to keep learners signed in and the site in their language — nothing for advertising, analytics, or tracking.
Warshati is an interactive learning platform that helps children and young learners explore AI, STEM, digital creation, and soft skills, in partnership with schools and educational organizations. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar on-device storage we use on warshati.ai, why we use them, and the choices you have.
The short version: we set exactly two cookies, and both are functional. One keeps you securely signed in; the other remembers your language. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking technology. Because parents and schools often want a complete picture of everything a website saves on a device, this page also explains the browser storage we use to keep learners' work safe on their own device.
For the full picture of how we handle personal information, please read our Privacy Policy. The agreement under which schools use Warshati is described in our Terms of Service.
Beyond cookies, Warshati saves some information directly in the browser on the device a learner is using. Almost all of it stays on the device: it is not shared with advertisers, and it is never read by third parties. We use it for two things — making the platform feel fast, and keeping a learner's work safe where they made it. The one exception is a random session identifier (warshati-activity-session) that travels with the usage events our own first-party measurement records, as described in our Privacy Policy; it contains no personal details.
A point parents often appreciate: creative work made inside certain workshops, such as drawing boards, design pieces, and project boards, is saved on the device itself. In our multimedia workshops, any audio or video a learner records is stored in the browser's IndexedDB database on that device only — recordings are never uploaded to our servers.
The table below lists the main storage keys we use and what each one does. Clearing your browsing data removes them all. Account progress — pathway, level, points, completed workshops, and certificates — is safely stored in the learner's Warshati account, so clearing the browser never erases real progress; however, unfinished on-device creative work would be lost.
| Storage key | What it stores |
|---|---|
| wsep-journey | A local copy of the learner's journey — chosen pathway, level, points, and completed workshops — so pages load instantly. It mirrors progress already saved to the learner's account. |
| warshati-onboarding | Remembers the state of the pre-signup taster session, such as which sample workshop was chosen, so a visitor can try Warshati without creating an account. |
| warshati-evidence | Notes interaction signals from the taster workshop (for example, which steps were tried and completed). If the visitor later signs up, this helps suggest a sensible starting point. |
| warshati-activity-session | Holds a random session identifier for our first-party usage measurement. It rotates after 30 minutes of inactivity, contains no personal details, and is never read by any third party. |
| wsep-enrollment-seen | Remembers which enrolment announcements a learner has already seen, so we do not show the same welcome banner twice. |
| wsep-kid-profile-prefs | Stores the avatar a learner picks and any display name they type on that device. This preference stays on the device and is not sent to our servers. |
| wsep:certs:v1 | Caches the number of certificates earned so the progress page loads quickly. |
| wsep:recs:v1 | Caches the most recent learning recommendations so they do not need to be regenerated on every visit. |
| wsep:hw-pref | Remembers whether a learner prefers to connect physical hardware in block-coding workshops. |
| Workshop project keys (digital-explorer, visual-creation, multimedia-production) | Save creative work made inside certain workshops — boards, drawings, and project pieces — on the device itself. Recorded audio and video from multimedia workshops are kept in the browser's IndexedDB on the device only and are never uploaded. |
Storage entries beginning with workshop names (for example digital-explorer, visual-creation, or multimedia-production) hold the learner's own creations for those workshops, on the device where they were made.
We review this policy whenever the cookies or on-device storage we use change. When we update it, we will post the new version on this page and refresh the date shown at the top.
If we make a significant change — for example, introducing a new category of cookie — we will update this page before the change takes effect, and we may also inform our partner schools directly. We encourage you to check back here from time to time.
If you have any questions about this Cookie Policy, or about anything your browser stores when you use Warshati, we are happy to help. Parents, teachers, and school administrators are all welcome to get in touch.
